Potrei mai dire che la scrittura non è il mio principale interesse?

Sì. La scrittura non è il mio principale interesse.

Le mie passioni sono la fotografia, i viaggi, il cinema.

Il mio più grande interesse sono le immagini: le storie dietro lo sguardo di un anziano che posa per una foto, le storie che si intuiscono sbirciando dentro le case in un Paese lontano o quelle che ti regala un viaggio in un treno stipato e scomodo.

Il mio interesse sono le storie dunque? Sì.

Ma le storie in fondo cosa sono se non un meraviglioso esempio di scrittura?

Ok, rifacciamo: potrei mai dire che la scrittura non è il mio principale interesse?

Yes. Writing is not my main interest.

My passions are photography, travel, and cinema. My greatest interest lies in images: the stories behind the gaze of an old man posing for a photo, the stories you catch a glimpse of when peeking into homes in a distant country, or those gifted to you by a journey on a crowded, uncomfortable train.

So, are stories my interest? Yes.

But what are stories, if not a wonderful example of writing?

Alright, let’s rephrase that: could I ever say that writing isn’t my main interest?

No, I can’t say that.
